Meet Lala and Nara Kirakosyan, the sisters behind the delightful creations coming out of Vancouver, WA, where every treat is baked with love and a touch of family history.
Their story begins in the picturesque village of Hovtashat in Armenia, where the sisters were raised surrounded by the beauty of nature, family, and the rhythms of farm life.
Lala, the eldest sibling, is a natural caretaker with a lifetime passion for baking. From her early days in the village, she dedicated countless hours to crafting irresistible desserts. Meanwhile, Nara embarked on a new chapter in 1999 when she married and moved to Vancouver, WA. Nara became known for her delicious pastries, creating a tradition of delighting family and friends on special occasions.
In 2019, fate brought the sisters back together when Lala moved to the USA. Their shared love for baking reignited, and in 2020, Sisters Sweets was born. They decided to turn their passion into a thriving bakery business, bringing the flavors of European sweets to the SW Washington/Portland area.
